Yup, and I have found that if you do, indeed, stick a fork in an electrical cooking stove's burner, you'll be shocked like hell.

I would agree with you that we are socialized into ';whats right and whats wrong'; but if good and evil dont exist then why did i feel joy when my son was born? Why do i feel shameful when I masturbate in the bathroom when my wife is banging on the door?
When we live in a society we have to live well with one another. For such living there should be rules. Such rules are the good and bad rules of ethics. They should come from within. If we do good to others they will do good to us too. So rules of good and bad do not come from an external source like a God or a king. It is internally made by us and our societies. Those who want to fear may think of them as coming from outside, from someone like God who punishes us if we violate those rules.
