I produce art as a hobby. What I did was donate my work to charity events to make my work visible to the public. Then I put my work in an established local gallery. After developing some market appeal and feeling more confident in my product and abilities, I looked at shops in metropolitan cities in my home state. I was surprised at how many shops are open to buying items directly from the artist; I learned that it just makes better business sense because dealing directly with the source can save them lots of money, and money talks!
