Why do doctors wear green masks while conducting an operation?

Green is easier on the eyes and also makes sharp contrast with blood. You can also see white or light blue clothes in some cases.

The fact that they need to wear a mask is almost obvious I think. Imagine sneezing into a patients brain or heart for example. Not fun...

As a matter of fact, surgeons are even encouraged to shave regularly, because Staphylococcus can colonize beards and contaminate surgical wounds. Why do doctors wear green masks while conducting an operation?
So they don't spread there germs. Why do doctors wear green masks while conducting an operation?
Because otherwise they would seem like a butcher...
The masks arent only green. They are just masks to keep them from getting infected, and to keep them from spitting or infecting their patient in a sterile enviroment.
To prevent anything from entering their mouth (fluid, blood, etc.) and also to prevent any illness/ bacteria from getting on the person being operated. This is because they are opening up the person and exposing the internal organs and there is no line of defense for the body at this point.
because of germs
They keep airborne germs from being inhaled.
previously it was used green, but no matter now they r using blue, white etc. as s symbolically it shows clean %26amp; green, actually masks are used to protect themselfs from infections.
