First off, all masks work the same, you put it on. The ';trick'; is knowing who the mask is in order to ';become'; what the mask embodies. If you don't know what you are dealing with, then I suggest you don't mess with it. If you are not an initiate or have never been chosen by a loa, then I also suggest you put the mask on a wall and leave it there, or pass it on to someone who knows what they are doing. Something tells me that your ';real'; mask is a souvenir from some one's trip or bought second-hand and you haven't the fainest idea of what it really is. Voodoo is a religion from Haiti. You have to be initiated to take part in the ceremonies. You should not be using it on your own without instruction. They don't initiate just anybody.
